Frequently asked questions
What is HextaBook?
HextaBook is GST billing and inventory software for Indian small businesses and distributors. It creates GST invoices and quotations, tracks stock and customer balances, sends payment reminders on WhatsApp, prepares GST reports and gives every business a free online store.
How much does HextaBook cost?
There's a free plan for one business. Paid plans are priced per business per month; see the pricing section for current prices.
Does HextaBook work without internet?
At the billing counter, yes. POS billing (on plans that include POS) keeps billing when the internet drops: bills are numbered and printed on that counter and reach HextaBook by themselves when you're back online. The rest of HextaBook needs the internet.
Can I move my data from myBillBook, Vyapar, Tally or Excel?
Yes, on every plan. Settings → Import data reads the Excel or CSV files you export from myBillBook, Vyapar, TallyPrime, Zoho Books, Khatabook, Swipe or any spreadsheet — and TallyPrime XML exports and Vyapar backup files as they are — and brings in your customers and suppliers, items with opening stock, and your history — sales invoices, purchase bills, credit and debit notes, payments and expenses — keeping their numbers and dates, and working each party's opening balance back so it matches your old app. Every row is checked and your plan's limits are shown before anything is added, and you can undo the import.
