Feature
Purchases: supplier bills, payments, returns and bill scanning
Purchase bills in HextaBook bring goods into stock, record the GST you paid for input tax credit, and track what you owe each supplier until it's paid. On Gold and above, upload a photo or PDF of the supplier's bill and HextaBook fills in the supplier, invoice number, items, HSN, rates and GST for you to check and save.

Everything on the buying side
- Purchase invoices with the supplier's own invoice number and due date.
- Payment Out — settles the oldest bills first, or the ones you pick; extra is kept as an advance.
- Debit notes — goods sent back, damaged goods and price corrections.
- Purchase orders — turned into a purchase invoice in one click when the goods arrive.
- Payables ageing — which suppliers to pay now.
Scan a bill instead of typing it
Upload a PDF, JPG or PNG of the bill. HextaBook matches the supplier by GSTIN, mobile or name and the items by name, offers to create the ones it doesn't know, and flags a total that doesn't match the printed bill.
Frequently asked questions
How does bill scanning work?
Upload the supplier's bill (PDF or photo, up to 5 MB). HextaBook reads the supplier, invoice number and date, lines, HSN, quantities, rates and GST, and opens the purchase screen filled in for you to check before saving.
Does a purchase bill update stock?
Yes. Saving a purchase invoice brings its items into stock; a debit note with 'take items out of stock' sends them back.
