GST billing: invoices, quotations, challans and credit notes

HextaBook makes GST-compliant sales invoices as you type: pick the customer and items and it works out CGST and SGST (or IGST for other states), discounts, delivery and round-off. Print on A4 or a 2- or 3-inch thermal printer, share the PDF on WhatsApp with a UPI QR and pay link, and record the payment on the spot.

Every sales document you need

One editor for all of them, so your staff learn it once.

  • Sales invoices — for walk-in, credit and online-store customers, with payment taken on the spot (cash, UPI, card or split).
  • Quotations — send a price with GST; turn it into an invoice in one click when the customer says yes.
  • Proforma invoices — an advance bill for orders paid before the goods go.
  • Delivery challans — goods sent before billing; bill one or several challans later in one click.
  • Credit notes — sales returns, damaged goods and price corrections, with stock put back and the customer's balance reduced.

GST worked out for you

HextaBook reads the place of supply from the customer's GSTIN or state and charges CGST + SGST within your state, IGST outside it. Each line can carry several taxes (GST plus cess), and the invoice shows the tax summary by rate that GSTR-1 needs.

Fast at the counter

Search items by name, code or barcode — a scanner's Enter adds the exact match. Keyboard shortcuts save and start the next bill. Each line shows the party's last price, stock and MRP, so mistakes are caught before the bill is printed.

Frequently asked questions

Is HextaBook's invoice format GST compliant?

Yes. Invoices carry your GSTIN, a unique serial number for the financial year, the customer's details and GSTIN for B2B sales, HSN or SAC codes, taxable value, the GST rate and the CGST, SGST or IGST amount, and the place of supply.

Can I print on a thermal printer?

Yes. Every invoice prints on A4, or on 80 mm (3-inch) and 58 mm (2-inch) thermal paper.

Can customers pay online from the invoice?

Yes. The invoice link has your UPI QR, and on plans with online payments a Pay button through your own Razorpay or Cashfree account. A paid invoice is marked paid by itself.
